Holiday Gift Ideas

I'll start this post off by first, saying Happy December! And second, by quoting one of my roommates, "IT'S CHWWWISMASS TIMEEE!!"

As far as I'm concerned, the day after Thanksgiving is the perfect time to start preparing for the best holiday ever, Christmas; and you bet this gal is doin' just that. If I'm being totally honest, I've been preparing for Christmas well before Thanksgiving even happened. My roommate and I literally went to Michaels to look at the Christmas decor and left with ugly-- I mean amazing, Llama sweaters, reindeer ears, pine cones, and other festive decor. We also went to petsmart and almost purchased a fish and a turtle, but maybe we'll save that for Christmas gifting. AND SPEAKING OF CHRISTMAS GIFTS.... (how about that segway, huh?). Ya girl is about to drop a super rad, totally helpful list of gift ideas for y'all because I know it's something people struggle with. We all want to find that perfect gift for our best friend or boyfriend so, here are my holiday gift ideas for both guys and gals. If you buy something on this list for someone and they hate it, they're weird and you should stop being friends with them because these gifts are kewl- that's all I'm sayin'.

Perfume- KKW Fragrance, Saint & Sinner Kat Von D, Chance by Chanel, Outremer Eau De Toilette Vanille Perfume at Anthropologie, Bond No. 9 Madison Square Park or High Line.

Constellation Jewelry Set- Such a cute idea to get for a best friend! Find at Anthropologie.

Cookbook/Wellness/Self Help Book/Coloring Book- You are a badass by Jen Sincero, also, You are a badass at making money by Jen Sincero. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson. Eat Beautiful by Wendy Rowe. Dirty Pretty Things by Michael Faudet. The Bob Ross Coloring Book at Urban Outfitters. On Vegetables cookbook from Urban Outfitters. Tangle Wood Coloring Book by Jessica Palmer.

Coffee Mug w/ Favorite Tea or Coffee- Plethora of mugs at Anthropologie, on Etsy, or get ya gal pal a coffee crazed gift set like this one!

Scrunchies & Undies- Two things I hate buying for myself, so why not gift them! 5 for $28 Victoria's Secret deal or GapBody are always good ideas. You can find scrunchies anywhere, but I like the ones sold at Urban Outfitters or Free People.

Candle & Face Masks- Treat your gal, everyone needs to relax sometimes. I like the I'm Real Set Masks. As far as candle scents, it's totally a preference, but I like woodwick or soy candles like this one or this!

Flask & Shooter- How else are we supposed to get through boring holiday gatherings? My picks: this & this.

Water bottle- This is another thing I feel like no one really enjoys to buy for themselves, but it's so necessary! Keep your pal hydrated with a Hydro Flask or something a little cheaper like this S'well.

Laptop Stickers- If you and your friends don't love to go all out on gifts, but still want to do a little somethin' for each other, stickers are perfect! Plus, they're really fun because you can pick out the ones that are most fitting to your friends personality. My favorite websites for stickers are Society6 and Redbubble. Also, they make good stocking stuffers!

Disposable Camera- I bought a disposable camera at the beginning of this semester and it's honestly so much fun. You may be thinking, why get a disposable if you can take photos on your phone? Well, there's just something so exciting about taking a photo and not being able to see how it turned out, it keeps you in the moment more instead of spending the next 5 minutes checking out all of the photos you got.

Sneaky Treat- Because everyone deserves to treat themselves. Figure out your significant others or best friends favorite candy or dessert and gift it to them!! Also, if the person is really into nutrition and fitness, get them a healthy sneaky treat like this chocolate or recreate this healthy rocky road recipe!

Boxers/Briefs/Underwear- No guy loves buying undergarmets for themselves. Figure out if your man is a boxer, briefs, or undies guy and treat him! Don't ask me how I know this, but 2UNDR brand is super comfy.

Shaving Kit- I'm not going to pretend like I know anything about shaving, but I will tell you I did a little research and I found these two shaving kits that had great reviews. If you're looking on the cheaper side, go with this Huckberry Winston Chrome Set. If you wanna spend a little more on your dude, get him the Colonel Conk Model Straight Razor Set.

Hat & Socks- Guys love accessories, too. I like hats like this or this. Since it's getting colder outside, you can even get him a beanie like this one. Also, it's kind of a gift to you too girl 'cause let's be real, guys in beanies >>>. Every time I buy a hat for a guy though I feel like it's such a simple gift. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with simplicity, but I think it could be cute to get your guy something else with the hat! Also, socks are something you can have fun with. For instance, Urban Outfitters has a wide variety of options.

Watch- I know this is pretty much the go-to gift that I always think of when buying something for a guy and it's because I know it's something the guy is going to wear and appreciate. My favorite brands are Nixon or if your dude has an adventurous style, WeWOOD watches are dope. Personally, they're my favorite and their really unique.

Music Speaker- Dudes love their tunes. Get him a mini speaker like this WonderBoom (I have it and it's worth the $100) or something on the cheaper side like this.

Cologne- Make your man smell nice. My favorite mens scent of all time is Sutton Place by Bond No. 9, but it is pricy so if you decide to go with that one, try buying it from amazon or ebay and not the actual Bond No. 9 website. Also, some of my guy friends have said they like Armani Code, Bleu De Chanel, and John Varvatos

Beer Bottle Opener Keychain- You know what dudes also love, beer. Okay so do I, but guys like really dig it. So, why not get him a beer bottle opener keychain? I like this one because you can customize it. However, something simple like this is nice, too. Whatever gets the job done, amiright?

Sunnies- Sunglasses are also one of those things I feel like people have a hard time buying for themselves. Gift your man some Raybans or a pair of Persol's.

Flask & Shooter- Again, everyone needs a little something to get them through the holidays. Etsy has a bunch of great selections like this one or this.

Laptop Stickers- See "For Her" laptop stickers bullet point. These are totally unisex and again, great stocking stuffers.

Workout Gear & Water Bottle- I mean, I'm partial to Lululemon; but if I'm being honest, who isn't. Sometimes shopping for clothes that are expensive, especially workout clothes, like Lulu can be tricky because you want to make sure your dude will like them. So you can always play it safe and get him a gift card. But if you want to pick some clothes out some of my favorites are this, this (also, please look at this model wow someone find him for me), and this.

Gift Card to Fav Food Spot/Restaurant- because we all know the way to his heart is through his belly.
