A Recap of 2018 Through Photos


I spent the first day of the year at the beach with my best friend. Now that I lived in Colorado, I took full advantage of the snow and spent my weekends skiing, snowmobiling, and warming up by the fire and in the hot springs. I rang in my 20th birthday with my roommates adventuring to Aspen for X-games.


I travelled to Austin, Texas for my first out of state volleyball tournament with my teammates. We ate barbecue food and explored the musical city. My high school friend, Madison, whose a photographer came out to Boulder and snapped some pretty pictures. We went to the ice caves and drove through the mountains. I got another tattoo. I started going for little hikes as the snow began to slowly melt away.


I escaped the cold and flew to cabo for a few days. My friend Abby came out to boulder from alabama to visit me. we spent the weekend eating vegan ice cream and exploring the mountains. I soaked up the last bit of snow with friends for a ski day in onesies. I travelled to california for another volleyball tournament where we celebrated st. Patties day and laid on the beach. I took my boulder friends back to my hometown and we spring break’d in ponce inlet, Fl. From there, we drove down to miami where we spent the days sipping frozen margaritas and exploring the wynwood walls and the nights dancing at the clubs downtown.


We said goodbye to ski season by spending one last snowy day on the slopes of breckenridge. I welcomed the warmer weather, colorful trees, vibrant flowers, and days at the creek with open arms. We ended volleyball season in st. louis where we explored the city museum and wondered around the gateway arch. Because I couldn’t stay away from her, I visited abby in alabama for rodeo. Hannah and I began building a list of places to adventure and got to cross off the paint mines. we bought lawn chairs and spent the evenings having dinner outside watching the sun go down.


I took a maymester and stayed in boulder with my best friends. I gave up social media for 2 and a half weeks for a school assignment. ‘twas the season of creek days, drinking on rooftops, picnics in the mountains, hiking adventures, and drinking coffee on top of the mountains watching the sunrise. I got to see my favorite person in the world, Post Malone, perform at red rocks. It was the best concert ever. I went camping for the first time in moab and slept in a tent with friends.


I flew back to my hometown orlando for a month in the summer. I spent time at the beach playing in the waves and drinking wine with my best friend kathleen. I saw my sister graduate middle school. I did a weekend trip to new york with my sister and parents. We saw a play and ate at yummy restaurants. I took my cousins to universal to ride rollercoasters and play tourist. My parents packed up a uhaul and we moved to colorado.


I road tripped out to colorado with my family and best friend. we got daiquiris in new orleans, got lost while on a run through the city of dallas, saw the cadillac ranch in amarillo, hiked the garden of the gods in colorado springs, and celebrated 4th of july in our new home of denver. We took a 3 day trip to aspen where we hiked, explored, and laughed like crazy every day.


I spent the last bit of summer in martha’s vineyard visiting my friend hannah at her summer house there. We beached, boated, picnic’d at sunset, and went to the cute town farmers market. I took an august-mester and the class really helped me tap into my creativity and find my voice on my blog. My dad played his first senior tour event in seattle and my sister and I went. WE blew bubbles and stuck them to a wall and walked the misty golf course of snoqualmie. Fall semester began and I celebrated the start of the semester with a nature walk with hannah and the rocky mountain showdown with friends.


Hannah and i started off the semester with an 8 mile hike. i started my job at an acupuncture clinic in boulder. We had many roommate dinners outside on our “porch” at our new place in boulder. I went to grandoozy in denver with my friend sam and my sister. hannah and I flew to venice, stayed with her sister, explored the canals, and ate yummy vegan food. We road tripped back to boulder in her sisters car and stopped at the 7 magic mountains along the way. I bought a dream catcher on the side of the highway somewhere in utah. I tailgated with friends. my roommates and I went to rowdytown at red rocks.


We welcomed the first snow day with hot coffee and timberland boots. I visited a friend in florida and spent the weekend on the beach and drinking bottomless champagne. i went to a football game with sam #skoooo. My roommates and I fostered a cute pup named jude. i celebrated halloweekend with the best friends and the most basic costumes.


i sipped tea at work as i watched the sun go down earlier. i drove up the mountains and warmed up in the hot tub at my parents place. my roommate turned 21. i went to denver fashion week. we had friendsgiving with good friends eating turkey and playing cards against humanity for hours. i celebrated thanksgiving skiing in breckenridge and playing board games with my family.


I showed an old friend around boulder. We spent days eating pizza, exploring the mountains, standing on the red rocks stage, driving to estes park and seeing the stanley hotel, and eating more of the yummy food boulder has to offer. i went to the travis scott concert and danced in the moshpit with friends. i went to my cousins wedding in long island and got to reconnect with family. we spent a night in the city and did barrys bootcamp for the first time. my family and I skiied in beaver creek. we had a lovely christmas as a family attending a service at the most beautiful church and grabbing dinner afterward. I flew to toronto with my brother and spent the last few days of the year sightseeing, going to bars, exploring the city, hitting a raptors game, and enjoying time off of social media. I soaked up the quality time spent with my brother and his girlfriend, and got to know her family.
