Full Day Of Plant Based Eating
8:00 am morning coffee: I use Starbucks Pike Place k-cup & Califia Farms Vanilla Almond Milk Creamer!
2:15 pm lunch: Cloud 9 bowl from Soho Juice Co. Bowl consists of: mango, pineapple, banana, blue algae, coconut milk and almond milk & topped with their homemade goji granola, strawberries, banana, coconut flakes, and almond butter!
5:45 pm snack: hummus & homemade brown rice tortilla chips!
7:00 pm dinner: detox kale salad, garlic tofu, turmeric sweet potato, & portobello mushroom cauliflower rice from Whole Foods Hot Bar
7:45 pm dessert: (NOT PICTURED) a sneaky piece of dark chocolate!!
Just to wrap things up, I wanna say that for me, eating the same thing every single day never works. I love food, so that means I often switch things up and enjoy all different kinds of foods! Today I happened to eat out for two of my meals (due to being back home for a bit and my parents not going to the grocery store), and I ate a lot more fruit than I usually would (due to it being literally 1 million degrees outside). Although I am lucky that I actually crave healthy, nutritious foods, I want to reiterate and stress the importance of not holding yourself to expectations when it comes to food. Some days you might wake up wanting a fruit & veg smoothie, other days you may wake up wanting a whole mess of pancakes. Sometimes you might eat 2 snacks between meals, other days you might not snack at all. How hungry you are and what your body/mind craves changes everyday due to so many different things like exercise, travel, hormones, and so much more. So, if your struggling because you can't find a "consistent" eating routine, please please please know that everyday is different and to not hold yourself to any eating expectations. I hope this can give you some ideas of what to eat if you're trying to live a plant based lifestyle!
