New York City OOTD's

That's it, I'm saying it. "Summer in the city" is my favorite outfit inspo. It has both the summer vibes and street style vibes wrapped into one carefree, chic bow. I went to NYC for a few days and here's what I wore.

Monday DAY: Traveling is an event and there's nothing I love more than going to the airport in a chic fit, especially when I'm going somewhere fun like NYC. I wore this adorable jean skirt and delicate Cotton Candy LA top to go with it. Because I wanted to be comfortable, I went with my black target booties from literally more than 5 years ago. These babies have been through house parties and muddy, slippery, dirt roads. Sadly, I think it's finally time to retire them.

Monday NIGHT: I was feeling an outfit change for dinner, but since it is Summer, I decided to stick to a denim look. Light denim is what I live in during the summer season. I also love wearing white when I'm tan because it just emphasizes it even more. I like to pair spunky, edgy pieces like my ripped jeans and air force 1's with girly pieces. So, I went with this white off the shoulder top and added my notorious black fiddler cap.

TuesDAY & NIGHT: After doing an AKT workout class, we spent the afternoon exploring the Heavenly Bodies exhibit at the Met, walking around Soho, and grabbing yummy eats & juices around the city. Later that night, we went to the play Waitress (which was so great) and met my Dad for a late night bite. I knew I wouldn't be changing for the night, so I paired my denim jeans with this silk pj top from Forever 21 to give it a more elegant, fancy look. I also thought I'd give the hat a break and went with a cute head scarf to tie it all together.

Wednesday: We woke up and got breakfast at Jack's Wife Freda before getting a ride to Laguardia and flying back to Orlando. I know I said I like dressing up for the airport, but flying home is a different story. Kept it simple with my favorite LuLu leggings, a white top, sneaks, and a yellow headscarf I got from Madewell. If you couldn't tell, 2 things: 1. I love yellow, and 2. Head accessories are my jam. For real though, this is such a fun scarf for the summer, bright and happy!
