Listen, if you haven't jumped on the podcast bandwagon are you even a millennial? Despite the stigma around poddys, it's actually one of my favorite pastimes. Whether I'm going for a walk, driving the 40 minutes home from work, or literally sitting in the kitchen with my earbuds in ignoring my families conversations, a good podcast is my jam. I love to read, but sometimes it's just not the mood. Gaining knowledge about high fat diets, comics perspectives on love & confidence, and learning about how to cultivate creativity through podcasts makes me feel a lot more productive than scrolling through instagram and twitter for an hour. If ya haven't perused some poddys of your own preference yet, here are some of my current favorites!
3 girls, 1 Keith (spotify)- brought to you by Amy Schumer and her comedian friends Bridget Everett, Rachel Feinstein, and Keith Robinson. Every time I tune in I imagine all of us, me including, sitting around a dinner table, red wine flowing, and talking all things life, love, pop culture, and personal experiences with a shit ton of humor and vulgarity. I mean, it's Amy Schumer what do you expect.
Well-Fed Women (iphone podcast app)- Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and Certified Personal Trainer Noelle Tarr, and Stefani Ruper, author of best-selling book Sexy By Nature, sit down to discuss all things health, fitness, womanhood, and real, entertaining banter. Whenever I'm faced with a body image issue or interested in learning about personal health, I turn to this poddy!
TED Radio Hour (iphone podcast app)- I mean, self explanatory. If you're not sure what you what to listen to, but you want it to be stimulating, look no further.
Modern Love (iphone podcast app)- Been a favorite for a while. Brought to you by WBUR and The New York Times, listen to top actors read true stories of love, loss, and redemption.
The Health Code (iphone podcast app- My favorite health & fitness YouTuber, Sarah's Day, and her boyfriend Kurt share their top tips all things health, fitness, and even relationship & life. Guys, their relationship is so uplifting and listening to their banter just puts ya in a good mood. Do it!!
Good Life Project (iphone podcast app)- Conversations with beautiful minds and people like Elizabeth Gilbert, Brené Brown, Seth Godin, and more. Super inspirational and if you love hearing people's stories, this is the pod for you!
