Nights are meant to be ended with some form of chocolate. Lately, I’ve been in a hot cocoa phase. But not JUST a hot cocoa phase… a healthy, relaxing hot cocoa phase, to be exact ;) Try this recipe out and I bet you will be, too. Healthy Hot Cocoa
-1 mug full almond milk
-2 1/2 tbsps cacao powder
-1/2 tbsp coconut oil
-1 tsp monkfruit
Cacao powder: great source of antioxidants, magnesium, calcium, and iron, mood boosting and relaxing effects, includes skin-friendly flavanoids, rich in fiber!
Coconut oil: Raises HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol), anti-inflammatory food, doesn’t trigger insulin release, skin-friendly food!
Monkfruit: natural sweetener, zero calories, doesn’t affect blood sugar levels, no known intolerances/side effects (as opposed to stevia, cane)!
