I'm a huge fan of jewelry. To be quite honest, I'm pretty much obsessed with all accessories. What I love the most is that a cute watch or a layered necklace can really tie everything together and give a look that final touch. The types of jewelry you accessorize your outfit with can determine the entire vibe of your look. If you put on a really boho looking outfit, but pair it with the wrong types of jewelry, you may throw the whole look off.
Today I'm going to share with you some little tips to accessorizing according to the type of outfit you put on!
JEANS: DAINTY GENTLE JEWLERY
If I'm wearing jeans its usually because I'm putting on a pretty simple outfit or just hanging out; I always stick to simple, dainty jewelry in this situation. You want to continue with the simple look; not get too crazy and defeat the vibe of your outfit.
SHORTS: WATCH AND LOTS OF BRACELETS
Just wearing shorts and a shirt can sometimes come off as a pretty plain outfit. I like to add some flare to it by decorating my wrists with a bunch of bracelets and a watch. The reason I pick bracelets over necklaces is because they will draw the eye towards the whole outfit instead of just towards the top of it like a necklace would; it kind of tricks your eye into thinking theres more going on in your outfit than there actually is.
CASUAL DRESS: LAYERED NECKLACES
I think another outfit that can sometimes fall flat, is a casual dress if you don't accessorize it right. You want to keep it simple, like jeans, but dress it up a little more since it is a dress. I like layered necklaces for this type of outfit because each individual necklace is quite simple, but together they create a slightly complex look.
FANCY: BOLD NECKLACE & WATCH OR BRACELET CUFF
So, if you're going a bit fancier, obviously you gotta step your jewelry game up. Not only can your outfit make you look like you're going somewhere fancy, but if your outfit isn't as dressy, your jewelry can really make up for that. Bold necklaces that say something on their own compliment a dressy outfit very nicely. Also, I try to stick to one or two things on my wrist like a watch or a bracelet cuff; something bold like the necklace, but won't distract from it.
