Hello lovely people! I hope all my American readers had a fun, but SAFE independence day... & to all you non-Americans, proud of you for getting through yet another Monday.

Update: I feel like this has been the most eventful summer I've ever had (that I can remember) & I'm really lovin' it. And being that my family trips & travels for the summer haven't even begun yet, it doesn't look like it's calming down either. Speaking of traveling... I have a HUGE announcement. I will be attending a Pre-SCAD abroad program for a week in Lacoste, France!!!! Yes, you read right... FRANCE. The trip is made so students get the chance to stay at SCAD's Lacoste campus & embark on a journey of cultural enrichment. We'll go on hikes, visit local village markets, swim in lakes, & travel to Paris to see the Eiffel tower. You guys... I am over the moon excited. This is so me. I've always found culture extremely fascinating & I feel so lucky to be able to share this new experience with SCAD students/staff &.... YOU GUYS. Cause duh, you know I'll be blogging my entire trip. Isn't it somethin' that the summer before I start college is one of the most exciting & memorable ones yet! Ah, bittersweet.

Anyways, I've done some research & Lacoste's weather is basically just like Florida except with chilly nights. Basically, it's perfect. I looooveee this look & I definitely think I'm going to be bringing it to France with me because it includes layering (perfect for shifts in weather). Layering is one of my most favorite styling tools, but since Florida is always too hot to do so, I really want to take advantage & make this a staple when I travel to France. The look pretty much exudes a "summer anywhere" vibe since I wear it here in Florida & feel perfectly comfortable in it; however, by throwing a jean or leather jacket over top, it's the perfect outfit for a cool night in Lacoste.

I leave in late August, so I still have quite a bit of time, but stay tuned because I would really love to share every step of my adventure with you rad people :)
